This is a simple sugar ant bait trap that will lure in ants then be sure they don't come back. Its cheap and fast to make from common household supplies. In fact, many commercial ant traps that you pay quite a bit for use the main ingredient in this trap in their recipes. But here you have the added benefit of having no horrid pesticides in and around your house or body.
1 Homemade Simple Sugar Ant Trap
1/2 cup very Hot Water
2 Tbsp. Borax
2 Tbsp. Sugar
4 or 5 Cotton Balls
A small jar, recycled plastic container, or anything that you can close, but are able to add holes to the top.
Add holes into the top of your container using a screwdriver, nail and hammer, or sharp tool. Pour hot water into the container.
Add borax & sugar and stir until dissolved, then add in the cotton balls (These allow the ants to get at the liquid borax bait without drowning, which is good because you want them to bring the borax poisoned sugar back to their main nest).
Close the lid of your container tightly and place it near where you see the most ants.
